Bone & Heart Health Support

What is Vitamin K?

Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin that the body needs to stay healthy. It’s important for blood clotting and healthy bones and also has other functions in the body.

There are two forms: K1 (found in plant foods) and K2 (found in animal and fermented foods).

Health Benefits

Improve bone health and lower your risk of osteoporosis. Vitamin K plays a central role in the metabolism of calcium, the main mineral found in your bones and teeth.

Support heart health: Vitamin K is strongly associated with a reduced risk of heart disease, by preventing calcium from being deposited in your arteries.

Why is Vitamin K important?

In addition to blood clotting, vitamin K activates the conversion of a bone-building protein called osteocalcin that shores up bone tissue by binding the minerals that support bone strength.
